New blog photographer Simone and I hit the Highline for a photo shoot last weekend. If you ever want to feel like a style star go there, tourists were shooting us while we were location scouting. One woman admitted that she already posted my outfit to her Facebook page :)

It was a gorgeous sunny day but there was a strong wind that gave me a “Marilyn” moment by the water. Enjoy!

Where Are My Shoes?

Traditionally a pair of leather shoes goes through 190 steps and can range from a few weeks in production (Steve Madden) to 9 months (Frye Boots). Yesterday’s post on SmartPrettyandAwkward.com links to the OddSlipper.com. I really like how they invite the buyer into the production cycle by highlighting what stage a shoe is at right now.
